rCalc is a scientific calculator for the GNOME desktop environment. It aims to occupy the middle ground between simple `point-and-click' calculators and full featured mathematical packages, and hopefully take some of the best of both worlds. The goal of the project has been to create a system that combines convenience and simplicity with power and versatility: to create a program which is which has an intuitive user interface and a powerful core. Adding up should be as simple as on a handheld calculator, yet the more complex features should be there as required. LicenserCalc is released under the terms and conditions of the GNU General Public License. RequirementsTo run rCalc, it is necessary have the GNOME libraries installed on your system. Most recent Linux distributions come with the necessary libraries installed, although it is generally a good idea to upgrade to the latest versions. FeedbackSend me your emails to phneutre _at_ icculus.org. rCalc has forums for general discussion, help requests and suggestions. There are also two mailing lists: rcalc-announce@lists.sourceforge.net which is solely for announcements of new releases, and rcalc-general@lists.sourceforge.net which is for general discussion. Project PageThis project is hosted on SourceForge courtesy of VA Linux. Due to their hard work, rCalc has mailing lists, forums, bug-tracking and a host of other stuff: visit the rCalc project page and have a look. |
